Infact many even does not know their proper use in the homes, but I must tell you, it is something that really needs to be given great importance. Uncontrolled and unchecked rainwater that flow off a roof is the biggest contributor to the basement dampness. This can create a breeding ground for mold and mildew. Steel gutters are stronger than either aluminum or vinyl. They are also less affected by temperature fluctuations. They do, however, experience rust if not maintained properly so they need to be repainted periodically to protect them. Copper is expensive but offers great value. It is extremely durable; it does not corrode and requires very little maintenance.
