A Prefab Garage Is An Excellent Alternative To A Costly, Conventional Garage

Posted by Niklas Herrgaard

The very first thing that you should do when considering a prefab Garage, is to check your local zoning laws. Some towns and cities have strict rules about how these prefabs may be installed, if at all. This will save you a great deal of time, money, and aggravation.

Next, you will need to decide what size you want your garage to be. Measure the size of the property where you would like it to be installed. Also measure the size of any vehicles that you intend to store in this new garage. Be sure to allow space for any other equipment, such as lawn and garden tools, bicycles, and seasonal yard furniture. This will ensure that you choose the correct size garage, and will not be disappointed.

Consider whether or not you would like you garage to have any windows. Also consider what type of door you are planning on using. Are you thinking about an automatic door? Attractive carriage doors? Or perhaps you just want a simple, traditional roll up door...

Prefab garages are available not only in wood, but also vinyl or steel. Consider the weather conditions, for the area in which you live, as well as the purpose in which you will use this garage. This should help you to decide which material best suits your purpose.

A lot of individuals choose to use the roof area of a garage as a loft space. This offers more storage space, or possibly a space to use as a room. Many prefab garages can be electrified, in order to create a more usable space.

Keep in mind the amount of money that you have available, in order to purchase your new prefab garage. It is important to understand that a larger garage, or one with more options will cost more. Have an idea of what you intend to spend, before making your purchase.

If your prefab garage is being built in a factory, and delivered to your property, remember to include the delivery charges, when deciding your budget.

Do it yourself, prefab garages are quite popular. These come with everything included to complete the entire project yourself.

A prefab garage can offer you all of the stability of a stick built garage, at a fraction of the cost.

The Value Of Owning A Portable Garage

Posted by Johann Lindh

Many people don't own a garage to store their vehicle. This leaves their cars out in the weather without any protection. Owning a portable garage will solve this problem.

A portable garage consists of a steel tubing frame that is covered by a tarp cover. They allow you to protect any vehicle from getting pelted by rain or snow.

Benefits of portable garages

Portable garages offer many valuable features to anyone who wants a place to store their vehicle without the hassles of building a garage.

The cost: One reason that portable garages are so wonderful is that they are very inexpensive. Compared to the price you will pay for a construction company to build you a new building, a portable garage is practically a steal.

Foundation free: When building a garage you will have to pour a concrete foundation. This can cost you money and time both things that most people cannot afford.

Building permits: When building a permanent structure you need a permit before starting. With a portable garage you can set it up without the hassle of getting a permit.

Ease of set up: It will only take you a few minutes to set up the tubular steel frame and throw a canvas over it. A wonderful benefit compared to the month it will take to have one built.

Flexible: Portable garages are great when it comes to protecting your car or truck, but the possibilities are endless when it comes to uses. You can use them for protecting things like boats and lawnmowers or you can protect an outdoor project like finishing a piece of furniture.

Several choices

A portable garage offers you many different choices in tarps. Some of them are polyester while others are just made of mesh. The choice will depend on the use.

There are several different sizes of portable garages to choose from. Some people like a size that will cover a boat while others just need a small car sized garage.

Shapes of portable garages are rounded or squared with a peaked roof. It is suggested that you measure what you are going to store in your garage before purchase.

Portable garages are a great way to protect something that is really valuable to you. They are cost efficient and easy to install making these garages a must have for anyone who wants a new garage without the drawbacks.

Cheap Closet Organizer Ideas

Posted by Jane A Moore

There is nothing that makes your life easier and house tidier that well thought out closet storage. Life is simpler when you know where things are. Not only will you know where everything is but your house is also easier to tidy when you have a place for everything. Carefully thought out closet storage systems are a worthwhile investment.

There are very cheap and easy ways to organize any closet and every closet needs some organizational help. One of the best "cheap" ways to organize a closet is to buy some snap together plastic shelves and some clear Rubbermaid bins. Make sure the bins are the proper size for your shelves. Stick a 3x5 sticker on the end of each bin and make a clear list of the contents.

The closet storage system described above can be made even cheaper with a little ingenuity. Instead of buying plastic stacking shelves look around your basement or neighborhood for bricks and pieces of 4 foot board. Wash whatever you find thoroughly and carefully. Visit your local wine store and ask for some boxes. Any type of box will do but I find liquor boxes or wine boxes to be the sturdiest and they are easy to find. Write down the contents of each bin on a piece of paper and tape the list to the end of the bin.

Another very inexpensive way to organize your cupboards or closets is to install rows of hooks at eye level around the perimeter of the closet. I was very surprised when I did an inventory of my closets to find that many items came ready to be hung up. You can also use the hooks to hang cloth or netted bags that can be used to store an assortment of light weighted things.

Another cost free way to arrange closet storage is to examine the actual stuff that is stored in the closet. For the best organization closets' should be homogenized. That means the stuff should more or less the same and accessed at the same rate. A coat that is used every day should not be stored with a tennis racket that is never used or Christmas decorations that are pulled out once per year. If you don't use something throw it out. If you use it once or twice per year, store it in a closet with other items used with the same frequency.

Decent closet storage ideas can be very inexpensive. You can start with some cheaper ideas and then maybe add some pricey organizational tools when you have more money. There really are some free ways to organize your closets. With some ingenuity, you can come up with a few cheap closet storage ideas.
